Sushi Takahashi 2 - Portland

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is traditional and has a charming local vibe. You dine in a train that travels around the restaurant, which is a fun experience. The staff is quick and courteous, and many regular customers engage in friendly conversations with the welcoming owners. The prices are unbeatable! I absolutely love unagi, and this place serves it beautifully at the best price. I can't recommend it enough!

We've been visiting this restaurant for ten years, and it's my favorite spot. It offers the most affordable sushi in the city. I highly recommend the salmon nigiri and the red sea salmon nigiri—both are excellent. Additionally, the hamachi nigiri and spicy tuna hand roll (or regular roll) are fantastic, especially if you can order from the paper menu when they're not too busy. Everything here is top-notch!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The quality and variety of sushi were excellent, served at just the right temperature. The chef is dedicated and ensures a wide selection of sushi is available. It’s unique how the sushi is delivered by a model freight train, adding to the charming atmosphere. The prices are great, portions are generous, and the staff is fantastic. Thank you!

Sushi takahashi 2 has been my family's going to conveyor belt style sushi joint for years. it is convenient for our children's school, and they love the model train that carries the sushi plates around the bar. Unfortunately, their lease contract is not renewed, and they will close at the end of December while they are looking for a new location. the fish is always fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere is welcoming. we will miss location today, but will return when they do. they will also be open on Saturdays and Sundays in December, so they will go while they can still.

Don’t go to any other sushi place in the area. Fresh fish, very fast, small authentic feeling atmosphere, and GREAT prices. Rolls and sashimi were amazing, and super generous for the small price. As if it couldn’t get any better, we were walking out during closing and they gave us like 40 pieces of free sushi for the road. Unbelievable, I’m still in shock how great this place is.
