Thyme Restaurnat At Premier Inn, Portsmouth, Port Solent

I though the food at this restaurant was one of the best convenience food I have had in years, it was delicious and a reasonable price. I have two main meals and two sets of breakfasts as I was staying in the hotel for two nights and I could not fault any of the meals. The menu had a good selection, the food was delicious, service was good. I honestly wish I lived closer as I would be eating here all the time!

We had not had food in this restaurant before,as we were staying in the premier inn we deiced to try it.It was very quiet as was just after the new year,we looked at the menu and was very different from the usual beef-eater menu,we had booked breakfast and we enquired if we could up grade to the meal deal,which we did,what i like about the staff they are very friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble,the food was very good,we both had prawns to start,I then had a chicken curry which was very nice,overall the food was a good standard,The one thing that spoilt the evening it was very cold in the restaurant and bar area,I informed the waitress and we then moved to a different part of the bar,in the end i had to put my coat on,it was that cold.I am sure there was a perfect ably good reason for this but it did put us off,about returning to this hotel.Food was good service was good however it was cold.

Being a regular guest at Premier Inn around the country I 'm accustomed to the variety of eateries attached to their hotels. I find in increasingly infuriating to find different conditions regarding meal deals . This place ranks high in the least accommodating. Only Carling, Wine, or soft drinks included. It was only when I expressed dissatisfaction that Magners was also offered, perhaps omitted by mistake by my server. No real beer offered. No premium beer/lager offered even with a surcharge payable (as is offered at many other restaurants attached to other Premier Inns). Food menu is standard fayre as in many others. Missed seeing any Sausage n mash, Doom bar pudding n mash. Menu is marked with those meals that carry a supplement for those on a meal deal but doesn 't mention which meals are not included /available on a meal deal Grrrrrrrr. Very annoying to be told later that some things are not available should be clearer from the start. Meals tasted OK. Sticky toffee pudding was a treat. Service fair.

Visited as we were staying at the premier inn and it was convenient. Had evening meal and breakfast and both times food was of a good standard. Evening menu is a little small but enjoyed what we had and prices were ok. Service/staff were good and if recommend a visit

Good food , breakfast and dinner , we stayed at the hotel , but had guests over for dinner a few times. good selection , good service , and they keep the kids happy !
