Írjon visszajelzéstAfter a long day of cycling, we stumbled upon this hidden gem and were greeted by one of the kindest women who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The food was delicious, comforting, and satisfying.
It is impossible to assign a star rating to a place like this. It is so unique that you will either love it or hate it. Firstly, the prices are half of what you would pay elsewhere, and the landlady is doing an excellent job of maintaining this charming old coaching inn as a community hub. We were walking and had a pleasant evening chatting with Pauline and the locals, enjoying the level of friendliness and relaxed atmosphere. The room was large and old, and we had it all to ourselves, which was perfect after a long day of walking. The dinner was only £6 and the breakfast was delicious, setting us up for the day. This experience reminded us of a time when walking and staying in places like this was more common, evoking a sense of nostalgia. This place may not be for those looking for a luxury hotel experience, but for those who appreciate simplicity, it is a great option.
This is a great spot to take a break during your travels. The food was delicious and served hot by a friendly woman. We will definitely consider stopping here again on our way back to Cardiff.
When we saw the outside of this hotel we all laughed. 'It can 't be as bad inside, as it is outside , one of us said..... but it was. The paint was peeling off the walls. The bedrooms and bathrooms were grubby. The carpets were not the sort of carpets you want to walk on with bare feet, so we all fought over one pair of flip flops to get us to the bathroom and back. The supper was awful and most of us left it, which was surprising, considering we 'd just completed a 20-mile walk. The breakfast was ok. We all turned down the cooked breakfast based on the standard of the food the night before. The place gave me the creeps; I couldn 't get out of there quick enough......
Pauline was a great host and i can see she plays an important role in keeping the only pub in the village alive! The rooms are basic and bathrooms are separate-which is reflected in the great value for money! At just £25.00 for B&B i was very happy with my stay there. The evening meal was excellent. The locals were very friendly and chatty. The breakfast was equally huge and tasty!!Highly recommend to hikers! We need more affordable accommodation like yours on the Glyndwrs-way!!Thanks Pauline!Keep up the good workSteve
