Simply Fish 's logo is aptly 'Everything under the Sea ' and after receiving several recommendations in the past year from locals, I finally acquiesced and booked a table for lunch here recently.<br/ <br/ Simply Fish 's quiet corner location in the The Village Centre is not an obvious spot, and to be honest, unless recommended to me, I doubt that I would have ever stumbled upon it by chance. With both its indoor and outdoor sections combined, Simply Fish is also one of the biggest seafood restaurants that I have ever been to, which can make it appear empty, even though on both occasions it has been anything but. <br/ <br/ I could not believe how comprehensive both the sushi and seafood menu selections are!  I love oysters and as such, happened to inquire from the waiter if they had any. With a smile, he said 'Oh yes ' and suddenly I found myself listening to their selection of:<br/ <br/ 1. Fresh Large West Coast Namibian oysters;<br/ 2. Barbeque Oysters (Flame grilled with garlic, topped with cheese mix,<br/ grilled golden brown);<br/ 3. Oyster Po Boy (Grilled flash-fried oyster served on a lightly fried sushi rice patty, topped with lettuce, avo, a dash of Tabasco and a sprinkle of black pepper); <br/ 4. Japanese Oysters (Fresh oyster with dollop of mayo and a dash of green chillies);<br/ 5. Oyster Espanole (Oyster topped with Napolitana Béchamel sauce sprinkled<br/ with cheese mix, grilled golden brown);<br/ 6. Oyster Deluxe (Fresh oyster with a layer of smoked Norwegian salmon, topped with salsa a dash of mayo).<br/ 7. Oysters with a vodka coriander and chilli dressing;<br/ 8. Oysters with a sweet soy seaweed dressing.. <br/ <br/ This restaurant seems to have something for every seafood lover and with some of the lowest pricing that I have seen in South Africa. Naturally, I was skeptical at first and could not have been more pleasantly surprised to see large portions of beautifully plated food being delivered to our table. <br/ <br/ In Summary:<br/ Service: 4/5 <br/ Food: 4/5<br/ Ambiance: 3/5<br/ <br/ Recommendation: Simply Fish is a must-try for the seafood and sushi lovers in Pretoria!!! For me the best seafood i have eaten and would got there again and again. Never disappointed and the staff is just as friendly. Their selection of sushi is also quite something to try, especially when it's half price

My experience at Simply Fish was incredible! Big, juicy, well cooked prawns in a lemon and butter sauce that's not overpowering. Quality seafood!<br/ <br/ Everything was perfect, from the sushi to the ladies platter. The service is excellent, they make you feel like you're their most important client. Already planning my next visit.<br/

We come to this lovely place every time its a birthday or anniversary. The food is fantastic and only the freshest fish is severed. The owner and the manager is always around and make special occasions more special. Thank you for great food and service.

Good sea food sushi is always tasty and fresh.New menu is a plus. The decor has been refreshed aswell. Good specials and very friendly staff.
