Hinzerling Winery - Prosser

Have been visiting this winery since the mid 90's. We were there this past summer (2019). At first I didn't think the place was even open. We did go in, and found out that the original vintner that we remembered had passed away. His son was now running the place. He knew his stuff, but didn't have the passion for the wines that his Dad did. We got the distinct impression that he was simply reducing the inventory and looking to get out. This is unfortunate, because they always made the best local ports.

Best ports in Washington state! Small quirky place but the product speaks for itself. I was saddened to hear that the owner/winemaker had passed away. Time to stock up on this wonderful port because sadly there won't be anymore.

The owner doesn't have the shares she's a scammer there's a lean about to be put up on the property

Great wines particularly the reds. If you like a 90 weight red, this is the place!
