Írjon visszajelzéstI’ve been to La Jolla Groves several times now over the last 7-10 years and have usually had a good experience but our meal last night was not up to par. Our rolls were forgotten, the tortellini was undercooked with over cooked chicken, and our server had to remind the kitchen about our dessert several times. Overall, really sad to have this experience when prices have increased significantly but service has declined. Service: Dine in
Amazing food and wonderful service! Great first experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place is really good, and is pretty formal. I felt way out of place in a t-shirt and jeans, but they don 't seem to have a dress code and didn 't care, but we got some looks from other diners. I 'll touch on the three categories listed above. *FOOD* was extremely high quality. One thing I need to point out right away is that they only have Pepsi and Dr Pepper sodas, so if that 's important, look at their delicious lemonades. They are a four-course restaurant, so they kinda want you to get an appetizer, soup/salad, entree, and dessert, but there 's no grief if you want to deviate. The menu is pretty small, so take a look before you go. They have a monthly Chef 's choice sorta-combo where you get their choice of all four courses, some of which are not on the regular menu. I called it a sorta-combo because it 's almost like they give you a discount... $57 this month seems like a decent deal for what you get. They do have an $80 steak, so you can see why I 'm considering that a deal. Also, they serve alcohol, which surprised me being in Provo, and, while the cocktails look small, the alcohol content is much higher than I 've experienced in bars, so take it easy! *SERVICE* was top-notch, with super friendly and attentive staff. A cool thing is that their name tags have their hometown. Our server was from Coeur d 'Alene and was awesome. One weird thing was that the kitchen and servers who brought out the food had something confused as both our table and the one next to us had the wrong food brought to them. Not a huge deal, but something was off. *ATMOSPHERE* it 's interesting... this place reminds me of European restaurants (save for the attentive service) with their fancy setup that isn 't common in American restaurants, although I 'm definitely not a connoisseur of high end restaurants. The gimmick of this place is a big lemon tree in the middle, which looks good at a distance, but you can tell it 's fake, which makes sense. It 's cool, has great food, and it 's not too expensive for what you get, which again reminds me of European restaurants (but with more attentive staff). Vegetarian options: They don 't have many vegetarian options on the menu, but you can ask them to hold the meat in the pasta dishes with zero grief. Dietary restrictions: Similar to vegetarian options, the servers are knowledgeable of the ingredients, so feel free to ask and see if they can make modifications. Parking: Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. You 'll have to walk a short distance as it 's a sort of an outdoor mall, and the location is almost in the center. The positive is that they have art and other cool stuff to look at.
Fine dining for boomers, Good food trying to be fine dining but catering to boomers palate. I get it.
