Ibis - Puerto Varas

One of our first stations in the south chiles, we discovered this place, which rusted fish and we were not despised. my man and I both ordered the salmon. it was exquisite, slightly carmelized on the outside and juicy and moist on the inside, we ordered the butter sauce with capern, as a side he got sautéed veggies while I went with creamy spinat. yum. we both swore each other. our older son ordered chicken with kartoffeln. when we could make him plum between the bites, he told us that it was pretty good and either the huh or the garlic sauce he ordered with him was a little sharp, but he loved it sharply. the little one has fork and tear. he worked heartily on it and said the taste was very good. And although I was standing the handmade kneaded dough rolls that brought them before the meal, I had a hard time to eat everything. my man and my older son ate hearty, and even managed to order desserts and eat. tiramissu and cream brule.

Eating is amazing. service was also wonderful. the chef sauce and the oysters were particularly good. best meal I had in the last 4 months in South America. almost stayed in the city another night to eat there again.

We went here yesterday after a recommendation from our hotel and were not disappointed. we ordered muddles in a parmesan pot and it was one of the best things I cost. the wee and the most important courses were also amazing and the personal was friendly and professional. beautiful location with view of the sea. fabulous seafood.

Nos encanta venir aquí cada vez que venimos a Puerto Varas de vacaciones. Buena atención, revisan pase de movilidad, temperatura, pusieron espacio entre las mesas, se puede comer afuera o adentro. La comida un 7! Los locos blandísimos, pescados y mariscos frescos, su buen pisco sour peruano. 1000% recomendado venir!

The place is called restaurant Iris. It's located in front the lake Llanquihue and has great views. You can choose to sit indoors or on the terrace. They serve a wide range of dishes with seafood and meats. We tried their fresh Oysters, cheese empanadas and the seafood empanadas. The seafood empanadas were three different kinds, crab, shrimp and abalone. They were delicious and the oysters were fresh. I tried one of their local beers recommended by our server and it was bold and tasteful, it was an amber beer. This was a short visit for a snack but I would go back for a full meal based on this experience.
