Amimoto Japanese - Punta Gorda

Great sushi rolls, crab cake and tempura. Nice atmosphere, good service and Tony's THE MAN!!

This is my favorite place to eat..The sushi is excellent, and the main entrees are just as good. People are friendly and the place is always clean. If you haven't tried it it's a must.

Best sushi in town!! Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth fish, delightful and clean atmosphere, and phenomenal food! The sushi is just to die for!

The food is amazing, and the wait staff super efficient. It's a small, limited seating restaurant. We always make a reservation, but getting in usually isn't a problem. We take all our visiting family and friends there for dinner!

After reading another review last night, we ended up at Amimoto Japanese Restaurants in Punta Gorda. And we're truly happy we did! We ordered 2 rolls, the Punta Gorda Roll and Volcano Roll, and loved them both! Also had the fried gyoza, tuna tataki and burikama (sp? which is grilled yellowtail cheek. All fantastic! Finally we shared the basa, grilled, which they served with pickled veggies, a cold sautéed mushroom, and pickled seaweed, along with a sweet gingery rice dumpling and fresh grapes. The food was top notch, as was the service! We will be back!
