Marley's Pub Wood Fired Pizza - Putnam

Not what I suspected prices for the pizza was definitely high.

As always. Black Dog delivers excellent food and service. Our waitress Kaitlyn B was outstanding. She had four or five large parties including ours), and she never missed a beat.

Our reservation was for a very busy night, especially so because a popular local band was playing. The band is why we were going, as most of us feel Black Dog, while the food is good, is overpriced. Our table was as far from where the band as you could possibly be. We couldn't even hear them! Service was ok. We understand it was crazy busy but when appetizers arrived, we didn't have enough side plates, silverware or napkins. Drinks took awhile which again is understandable, but even our water glasses remained empty for extended periods of time. Given how busy and overcrowded it gets when there is live music, it would be awesome is they could have their speaker system play the band live as well as show on their TV's. Given all the expansion Black Dog has done to their entrance and other space, this should be an easy improvement.

Had the burnt ends- excellent. Others in our party had the smokehouse Mac ‘n cheese and onion soup- rave reviews all around. Cornbread was good would've enjoyed it more if served warm and with softened butter. Baked beans were a great side.

We had a great time at Black Dog, the food and service were wonderful! We had 6 of us for dinner and all enjoyed it and can't wait to go back again. Next time, however, we will ask for seating in a dining room and not at a pub table in the bar area, it was a bit noisy on a Saturday night for conversation. Will definitely be going back for more, love this place!
