The At Sokyo - Pyrmont

I stayed at the casino hotel and had the option to enjoy breakfast here. I must say, their morning menu is one of the best I've ever seen. It’s quite unconventional and truly unique. I absolutely loved the yuzu waffle! You have to try it—you won't regret it!

I visited Sokyo at Star last night around 5 PM specifically for the Tanoshi Hour before heading to see Hamilton at the Lyric Theatre. When we arrived, we received menus that didn’t include the Tanoshi Hour options. I asked about the Tanoshi Hour menu, and after some back and forth, the waiter informed me that the manager had told him it was no longer being offered. This was surprising, especially since the website clearly states that Tanoshi Hour is available from 5 to 7 PM on weekdays. We had deliberately not made reservations anywhere else because the Sokyo website mentions that reservations for the Tanoshi Hour menu aren’t necessary. Since all other restaurants were fully booked, we ended up at one of the fast food places at the Star, which was disappointing given that it was supposed to be a special night for our anniversary. I checked the website again today, and the Tanoshi Hour menu is still listed as available!

The food was decent, but the staff failed to inform us in advance about the excessive 15% surcharge. This was also not mentioned in their email confirmation. I have never encountered a restaurant that charges extra like this before.

Exceptional service. Bartenders have sound knowledge of wine. Overall great experience!

I had a breakfast this morning with my cousin and the food was very beaufiful. Thanks to Jessica who served us very well and for her advice on the food we chose. The dishes were very well presented and tasty, and the service is the best. I will comeback for sure and highly recomment to my friends.
