We were attracted by this restaurant because we found crêpes in its menu, and also the live music performance. What a disappointment. Yes, they had many choices. We tried 3 different crêpes items. Taste, I could not say it's bad. Might be just average. But the service was terrible. The gentleman serving us, very unfriendly and not polite at all.Quebec City is a very friendly place, but this restaurant is definitely not friendly.
We arrived quite late on a Friday evening (28 July) and were struggling to find somewhere to eat. We wandered around for about an hour before finding space here. My husband loves crepes so was in 7 th heaven with the wide choice. He also very much enjoyed the Poutine with Italian sauce. I had Raclette for the first time; it was delicious. Our waitress Sabrina was lovely. We went back on the evening of Sunday 30th, sat outside, enjoying the soft background live music, lots of familiar classics. Again, great service. This time, a young man, American ( can't quite remember his name). He was wonderful, not only with us but it wasn't hard to see how he made everyone equally important, even crouching down to talk more easily to a young child. On the second night, I particularly enjoyed the cocktails, having margaritas that were sublime.
I ordered Cheese and apple French crepe. The cheese was spread so thin on the crepe that could hardly taste the cheese and the apple was four wedges of raw green apple. We paid extra 2.95$ for a tiny bottle of maple syrup and 3.25 $ for a regular coffee. The crepe was 10.95$. All in all very expensive for what was in the plate. Is it a big deal for them to add a few fruits and decorate the apple wedge with an icing of some sort or a custard sauce. Not the best place I visited.
If you like fondue, this is the place to visit. Right next to the Chateau Frontenac, the location couldn't be any better. The fondues and raclettes are overpriced, to be sure, but how can you go wrong with that much melted cheese? I mean... melted cheese. We go for a meal almost every time we visit Quebec City, never mind the prices.
