Restaurant Le Saint-Amour - Québec

Love food and service. We were concerned that we did not have any fancy dresses with us on our short trip to QC plus with a young toddler they did not serve us. I called and they said they didn't have a dress code. Staff are all nice and friendly, feels like a family restaurant vibe. Food from presentation to taste is excellent. This is a place where you want to come back whenever you feel for a special occasion. The decreasing time is long, but it was good that we did not feel rushed and we took the time to enjoy the meal and really taste the favor profile. A little criticism is that when we arrived, they put us in a separate room. So our request was forgotten and we need to remind them of the order. You have not assigned servers, but several people come to serve you randomly, so maybe there are some communication gaps. For a fine restaurant that could be something you want to look at.

We love our last minute on-whim trip to Quebec City, everything was booked within days of our arrival on Friday. The only available reservation for US workday weekend reservation was Friday at 9 pm and was late for our usual dining room period. We are pleased that we have taken it anyway and it was a big decision. The food was delicious, even if we were not hungry from a big lunch and would just have skipped dinner this day. We wanted us to have the stomach for the 7-course inventive meal. They had the summer menu and we shared Foie Gras Experience, the Quebec Lamb Rack and Bison Sirloin under 3 of us. We have a complementary scallop sauce from the restaurant that was amazingly delicious. All the dishes were delicious and if I had to arrange, the lamb would be the best dish. To dessert we had the Maple Mousse. I'm not a fan of mousse, but this dessert was excellent, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The sweetness was for me on the point to taste the taste or maple and chocolate. We would have been back to another dinner within the trip if it had not fully booked for the rest of our visit. There was no special dress order for the restaurant, we have no business leisure or dress shoes. We didn't dress like a bump, but certainly not over and beyond. Some guests wore jacket, dress and even shorts. I saw a pair with shorts and sandals.

This was our BEST high end French cuisine experience in North America. At par with Michelin restaurants we tried in France. We ordered menu decouverte 7 services with wine pairing. The food, presentation, service were beyond reproach. The bill was heavy, but we felt that every dollar spent was worth it. This pays to have an experience and not just a meal. I 'd recommend calling them a day before and ask to place you in the main hall, our only regret was not being seated there...

We had a great experience, the staff is super nice and they were quick to Service as soon as we came in the door. There was a delay with some of our food and they gave us a and champagne on the house. The food was absolutely delicious. I couldn't ask for better service!

I used the yelp and found this restaurant, it was an amazing and unforgettable experience, the decoration was so beautiful and feel like we were in the forest. the waiters are so friendly to keep the coat and led us to our seat, the environment was so comfortable and we chose the “discovery” which include 7 dishes. The dishes were so delicious and cute, and the flavor was special and really impressed.
