We went here for their birthday promo on your birthday month, their butao ramen would be buy 1 take 1 . At first glance, the price of their ramen is a bit overwhelming P400-P500 as compared to other japanese restaurants ~P300 . However, the quality of the ramen is in par with what you 've paid for. What I like about ramen nagi is you can freely customize your bowl according to your likeness. I 've ordered just the normal portions of everything to try their basic taste. The soup was very flavorful even with just a normal broth. Everything was already so filling that I didn 't manage to finish my meal. Another thing to note is the condiments served on the dining table. There were a lot of things you could add to your meal sesame seeds, umami vinegar, pepper, etc... I don 't know if it was only during our stay but the place was kind of hot? I think the air conditioner was broken. Over-all, for the price, you can expect to get quality ramen and service. :
First of all, if you are a ramen snob (you know the type--the ones who've been to Japan and have nothing good to say about any Japanese food outside it), you will not enjoy Ramen Nagi. It's definitely not traditional Japanese ramen, despite the marketing, but it IS good food. I always eat the Red King when I'm here, with extra tamago and noodles. Sure, it's a carb binge, but if you're feeling sickly or it's cold out, it will hit the spot. The staff in all Ramen Nagi branches I've been to (SM North, SM MOA, and the UP Town Center branch that I frequent the most) are pleasant and unobtrusive, though sometimes they're a bit harried because of the volume of customers. Be patient if the place is at full capacity (peak hours, weekends). I do think the food is pretty pricey for what you get and the drink offerings could be better, but overall you'll get a good experience here.
I don't eat ramen because I always think that it's too salty but this ramen tastes very nice. Not too salty. Noodles are not soggy. BEST ramen house. It's pricey though. Worth every penny. Generous serving. Has large seating capacity. Best pick/s: Butao-Gyoza Set, Original King and Red King
Before I didn't really appreciate Ramen Nagi, I thought the idea that sharing tables and being in an enclosed space was not really appealing. After years it still isnt. But what changed is how I feel about their ramen. We ordered the Butao King, their classic tonkotsu ramen. It was creamy and rich with the firm noodles, it's even better when you add tamago. Their gyoza though is somewhat dry because of how they serve it in a sizzling plate. Some parts of the gyoza even stick to the plan and it just losses its moisture. Will be back to try their other offerings.
