Frying Fish Cafe - RAINBOW BEACH

Working close by and the smell lingered, so I had to get some for lunch. I had the most beautiful and fresh piece of crumbed Barra cooked to perfection and the biggest serve of calamari rings with a light and crunchy coating cooking amazingly! Will be coming back!!

We were told by a local that this place has the best fish and chips in Queensland. It does.Get grilled barramundi with a squeeze of lemon and aioli to take away. Go to the beach, with a glass of dry white or a cold beer and watch whales in the Pacific. Do I need to say more? Just do it.

What a change to find a great fish n chippie in the heart of a tourist town...no gimmicks, just beautifully freshly cooked FRESH fish and all that goes with it....Fast service, great prices..the battered fish n chips were just $8 and I couldn't finish the chips , but to be fair , I did have a serving of calamari rings as well.. 6 for $5.80 ..real too...not frozen rubbish...there was one minor let down though..ordered a crumbed sausage for my dog and it was "marathon " frozen and more hot dog than sausage but she still wolfed it down. By the way the distance from the Caravan park in town is closer to 1k, not the 2k they have here...we could have walked it .

On our way to Carlo Sandblow, we stopped for a quick lunch in this fish and chips. We tried a chicken burger and a fish and chips, both of them were excellent, big portion and cheap price! An awesome place where refill the batteries!!

Chips are great, Fish can be a bit on the thick side, but all depends on how you like your Fish. Only thing to pick about really is the 'homemade' spring rolls. They don't cut it as a good spring roll unfortunately.
