Chilverton Cottages, Day - RAVENSHOE

Our stay at the Platypus Cottage was wonderful. Sitting on the deck, watching the turtles in the river, listening to the birds, and being surrounded by the stunning forest with its towering trees was incredibly relaxing. The holiday home was spotless, well-equipped, and featured a very comfortable bed. The grounds of Chilverton Cottages are beautifully landscaped and offer a lovely walking path—don’t miss the suspension bridge over the stream! Our three-day stay was fabulous. Gwen and Bruce were enthusiastic and attentive hosts; their hard work in maintaining the cottages truly makes them special. They are also very dog-friendly! Thank you, Gwen and Bruce!

We enjoyed a lovely three-course dinner, and the massage experience was certainly interesting, to say the least! Gwen did a fantastic job accommodating everyone, ensuring that both a man and two women had a great time. We can't wait to come back!

Absolutely, it’s a stunning location! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Gwen is a wonderful person—very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming and tranquil, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of phone and internet connection. However, I truly loved my experience; it greatly helped me relax my body, mind, heart, and spirit. It was also surprisingly warm, even in the midst of winter.

We stayed in the kingfisher studio, beautifully decorated the trees / garden, very clean, making them feel very, as if it were just them there in the quiet garden. we had the set three cursor for our three overnight stays, eating was all delicious. hostess was very friendly and helpful. to stay at the huts, turned out to be a blessing, the accommodation at the mountain surprise was all booked out as we landed in chilverton. chilverton is just a short drive to most attractions where like mount surprise would have been a two to three hours drive to see everything. the mountain surprises the lava caves, but this is it. would recommend chilverton to anyone who wants to escape the hectic and the drive, as well as in a central location for their tourist excursions.
