L'escale Pizzeria

We stopped at l 'Escale for late lunch after visiting the Jardins de la Méditéranée . The atmosphere on the terrace was nice and the food and service was good.

Nice location, truly magical, but menu, quality of the dishes and above all the prices dont meet the expectations. A beach bowl with a bit of lobster, unseasoned vegetable, quinoa as a main dish for over 32 euros is a joke. It was an appetizer portion and not more. The beef was uneatable and didnt have to pay for it. Really too bad!

The lunch was just ok. We ordered fish and chicken, and wasn’t very impressed. Go for lunch at the pool instead!

This restaurant is above the beach with a lovely outlook towards the Isles D'or. The menu is nicely seafood orientated with specialities such as carpaccio of daurade and aioli. The service was friendly and swift. We will certainly return.

Great location on the beach, with seats in front of the restaurant and some tables up the stairs with an even nicer view. However, service needs to be better. Waiters eating snacks all the time, pushing to get your order in, pushing to get your next plate served, wrong bill, ... that is not what you expect on holidays.
