The George - Redbridge

The restaurant has been nicely renovated. My husband enjoyed the cod and chips, while some of my Mixed Grill was a bit dry and overcooked. The portions were good-sized. The service was a bit slow. The beer and wine were both delicious. Overall, it was reasonably priced. We will definitely come back again.

Met friends for lunch here to celebrate a birthday. The pub is located on a busy intersection in South Woodford (close to the cinema) and has ample outdoor seating for those summer beer garden moments.A nice selection of drinks are available including craft beers, ample wines and fruit ciders. The food menu is typical pub fare with a somewhat American twist.We ordered a selection of tapas (three for pulled pork nachos and fish cakes. All dishes were tasty but the food has no wow factor' and nothing sets it apart from any other pub in the area. It must be noted that portions are of a good size though service is somewhat slow.

The service at this restaurant is always exceptional, with excellent bar staff all around. A special mention to Hazel for her outstanding service.

I went to The George last weekend to meet friends for food and drinks. I had a great time - the atmosphere was fantastic, the staff hospitality was excellent, and Danielle looked after us very well throughout the night. We will definitely be returning!

Took my family to the George for lunch and drinks, the staff were so helpful and friendly, I will definitely be returning, Hazel who served us was great, we really recommend this local pub.
