Willow on Wascana - Regina

I discovered long hair in my beverage. The tacos were horrible, and I thought the employees treated us less kindly than they should have.

We arrived at 1pm for lunch, not busy, sat on the tented deck, lovely day for it. We ordered a wine flight each, delicious samplings. Ordered Seared Scallops to start, the chutney was savory heaven and the scallops were perfectly cooked. For lunch we had the Park Nachos and Prairie Paella, both dishes were tasty and ample. I can't say enough about the Paella, the saffron rice was done to perfection and a perfect platform for the delicious gastronomic artistry found on top. I have eaten at Bar Willow many times and I have never been disappointed but today was above expectations and we will be back. Highly recommended.

Lovely patio overlooking the lake. Excellent pickerel dinner both fish and asparagus cooked to perfection. Good draught selection.

Service: Top notch Atmosphere: Terrific Food: Excellent Price: Tremendous Bar Willow sets the standard for a Sunday brunch. If there is a negative it's the fact their kitchen is too small for their large outdoor seating area but all that means is people have a little more time to visit in a pleasant setting while waiting for their meals. This time of year is wasp season in Saskatchewan so maybe a few wasp traps could be in order but I have no reason to give this eatery anything but an enthusiastic Excellent!

The Atmosphere and service was wonderful. Our waitress was outstanding. The food was OK. Two mediocre chicken tacos and a beer for $25.
