The gyoza was perfectly crispy and moist on the inside with great-tasting pork filling. The Hello Kitty was the perfect mix of sweetness and tartness. Altogether, it was incredible and I would make the 4-hour drive just to have it again.
Kizuki is a pretty well established ramen chain, and I'm glad we were able to find one at this location! This one is very low-key, and feels great to eat at for a quick lunch or dinner after work. I got the tsukemen, which i was pleasantly surprised that they served. The dipping sauce was a bit on the sour side, but I thought it was refreshing. Prices are a bit steep for a bowl of noodles but that's kind of how everything is nowadays. Oh, but the karaage was excellent ?
Food was ok. Not bad, nothing great either, but not worth $15. Ramen is ramen, imo. Others in the group enjoyed their food more than me.
Let’s start by saying I’ve been to different locations of Kizuki and loved the food every time; however, I will not come back to this particular location due to its poor staffing and cleanliness.Came in on a Tuesday night at 6pm, there were already 3-4 tables eating. They only had ONE cook and ONE server. Waitress informed us it was going to be 45-60 mins for our food to come out. I really appreciated her honesty, she just saved us from wasting our time. Quickly looked at some other reviews, it looks like this location has tons of staffing issues. So unless you come in at an odd time, be prepared for a long wait. In addition, they had a menu taped open on a counter by the entrance, there were ants crawling on it and a trail of them on the wall (see pics).
Great ramen. We had the chicken Dan Dan twice in a week: rich broth, nice spice level. Be aware that most of their ramen broth is pork based, and much of it includes pork: the piece of pork I had seemed a little tough, but the ramen and broth are delicious.
