Bento House - Reston

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered chicken teriyaki with noodles, a spring roll, and 4 California rolls. The chicken was extremely greasy, the spring roll was small, and the California rolls were very small in size. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with regular noodles (which was supposed to be rice noodles), a small piece of pork, and a cold half egg. It was absolutely terrible and had a horrible aftertaste. To make matters worse, it cost almost $13 and was served in a plastic cup. I felt like it was a complete waste of money and overall, a terrible experience at this restaurant.

I would describe this restaurant as "Busy Bento". It always seems to be full of customers. They are open 7 days a week and have friendly employees. I always order their sushi and it is always fresh and delicious. It has a mom and pop feel and is located near a busy Home Depot shopping area. There is plenty of free parking and other fast food options in the same strip. The sushi is made to order and reasonably priced. There is some seating available inside, but no wait staff. My only complaint is their phone system, which has too much static and noise.

The food was mostly acceptable. The miso tastes like vinegar and has no additions beyond broth. California roll tasted ok to my daughter but was pasty. The tofu teriyaki was quite bland, but edible. My daughter also had the tempura shrimp roll and said it was fine. They also got the order wrong at first and had a hard time accepting it. Food was not fast but not amazingly slow although there were few other customers.

Ordered miso soup since it was the closest place that has it. Absolutely god-awful. It tastes spoiled. The rest of the food was ok, but I can't wash the flavor of the soup out of my mouth. I wish I could get a refund
