The best culinary experience from my Iceland visit! I recall making a reservation in advance and almost not wanting to go as I was really tired from the day tour. So glad I went anyways. I got a portion of the horse steak, and oh dayum!!! it was one of the best proteins I've ever tasted. The potatoes and sauce were so well prepared, each complimenting the dish perfectly. The fish pie or Plokkfiskur, was my favourite of the evening. So, decadent and comforting, I couldn't keep my fork down! Wanted to try the dessert, but couldn't as I got really full with the 2 courses. However, the only thing amiss was the seating, which could have been more comfortable as I was crammed in a corner and the chair kept bumping with my neighbouring diners; yet the waitress did not let me have any of the bigger tables even though they were empty. In all, I would certainly consider visiting this place the next time I'm in Reykjavik.

Very consciously gluten-free and able to make most of the dishes gluten-free. was able to share several dishes with the table and even a beautiful dessert for a very tasty meal of rare foods.

Traditional Icelandic cuisine made beautiful and in the position to easily accommodate this celiac!
