White Stag Inn - RHINELANDER

One of my favorite restaurants in Wisconsin! Be sure to try the bone-in ribeye, cooked medium rare. You won't be disappointed. I dined there 40 years ago, and it’s still just as amazing—if not even better!

Excellent food! You can't beat a great steak, and this place has the best in the area, no question about it. The ambiance feels like a nice dinner club. They start your meal with a bowl of wedge salad and the server takes the time to explain the three homemade dressings and how well they work together. Honestly, the salad dressing alone makes the trip worthwhile. There's a fantastic selection of steaks, chicken, and seafood. I always enjoy going there, and I wouldn't be surprised if other restaurants in the area struggle to compete!

Absolutely delicious! I've been visiting The Deer for 15 years, and the quality has remained exceptional since day one. The steaks are the best you'll find anywhere, the pork chops are a specialty, and the fish is unmatched compared to anywhere else. You can't experience the northern forests without a stop at Stag.

Great steaks. The White Stag Inn has consistently good service and good food. The steaks are high quality and perfectly cooked. The salads are pure dinner club! Great bar, great food and great service. What is not to like!

Nothing extravagent, but good. Someone could consider this place a bit pricey. However, I believe the quality of food helps make it worth it. The food is simple, but delicious. I have visited the White Stag Inn at a variety of times throughout the year with one person, myself, at the table to six people always receiving the same service and food quality. The gentleman preparing the meats does a good job insuring your choice of doneness. Their homemade salad dressings make up for the wedges of iceberg lettuce.
