Írjon visszajelzéstSaffron had many vegan options, but none were labeled as such (there was only a veggie section.) our waiter was very sweet and showed us everything that could be veganized, which was almost anything veggie, except a few erects. Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for our food and didn't hear from the waitresses. eating was good, but nothing special.
We were very excited to try this restaurant after all great reviews. the two ladies who sat and served us were very friendly, but that was the only good at this restaurant. it seemed to be only two older women and one single cook, so don't go into the hurry, we sat for an hour and a half before we got our food. what we didn't think it was all freshly prepared, but it was extremely dirty. we had the chana masala and the mixed herbal curry. next to the spicy mirror there were no other aromen and the mixed vegetables seemed a bag of frozen sweetcorn blackened carrots. Unfortunately, the tandoor didn't work, so the only vegan page options were rice. I understand that not everyone's fault, but it has added to our disappointing time here. we got a free popadom while we waited. Unfortunately it was literally just a simple popadom without chutneys or pickle. my friend had also ordered a Masala popadom so it felt extra redundant. I hope it was one of us, but we won't find out.
They run through the sweetest couple, and the most amazing Indian food I had in a long time! my friend (omni) and I (vegan) ordered the daal, gobi masala, saffron rice, swirling bajis and the garlic naan, aswell as a few drinks. they serve meat, but they had a whole vegetarian part of the menu with many vegan options.
Saffron had lots of vegan options, but none were labeled as such (there was only a veggie section). However, our waiter was very sweet and showed us everything that could be veganized, which was almost everything veggie, except some few dishes. Disappointingly enough, we waited for almost an hour for our food, and we didn’t hear anything from the waiters. The food was good, but nothing special.
We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant after all the great reviews. The two ladies who seated and served us were very friendly however that was the only good thing about this restaurant. It did seem to be just two older women and a single chef so don't go in a rush, we were seated for an hour and a half before we got our food. Which we didn't mind thinking it was all being freshly prepared, however it was extremely bland. We had the chana masala and the mixed vegetable curry. Besides the spice level there was no other flavours and the mixed vegetables seemed to be a bag of frozen sweetcorn peas carrots. Sadly the tandoor was also not working so the only vegan side options were rice. I understand thats not anyone's fault but it added to our disappointing time here. We were given a complimentary popadom while we were waiting. Unfortunately it was literally just a plain popadom with no chutneys or pickle. My friend had also ordered a masala popadom so it felt extra redundant. Hopefully it was a one off but we won't be going back to find out.
