Mexico - Richm

First off, I love the Mexico Restaurant chain, definitely one of my favorites... I had no idea this location existed and it 's very convenient and close to my office which is a huge plus. The atmosphere was extremely nice, tranquil and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the Spanish Music playing throughout the restaurant. (They played some of my favorite classics) I felt welcomed from the moment I entered the door, got seated promptly and served with the traditional chips and salsa. The waiter was excellent, quite attentive and properly checked on me often. The food at any Mexico Restaurant location I have been to has always been great and this location didn 't disappoint... The food here was hot, fresh and as my mom would say Oh so good delicious . I highly recommend eating at this location and know that I know where it is and how close it is to my office, I will definitely return... And I may bring some friends ?

The portions for the price are absurd. I ordered two kinds of dips (chorizo and guacamole) and got the tiniest portions and half a bag of chips. Seriously they couldn’t even give me a full bag for two dips?? I had to go out to buy more. The fajitas were $18 for chicken and came with lettuce that was half water (literally the container was flooded). I was hesitant to order take out here after hearing bad things and seems like I should have just stayed away.

Service was quick. Food arrived in a timely manner. Good sized portions. I had shrimp chimicanger and brought half of it home. Wife had a vegetarian taco salad. She was the only one of 4 that finished her meal. Everyone agreed it was good. Refills on chips/salsa and tea were brought before emptying the first

…..these were not even close to what a chimichanga should be : I immediately thought I received the wrong order so I called was told it was correct w no explanation? The chimichangas were the size of taquitos from 7eleven or something meat was identical to Taco Bell meat- I feel scammed.

Mexico restaurant saves the day! We preordered food for 25 for our post funeral gathering from a different restaurant. One hour prior, we called to arrange to pick up the food only to find out there was no order. No food. We called Mexico Restaurant. They happily took on our challenge and provided a fantastic spread with everything we needed at a cost less than the original. We are so grateful for their kind and professional service. Customers for life!
