Yumi Cafe - Richmond

We ordered the Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. If you enjoy a bit of heat and spice, the Mongolian beef is a must-try! The egg drop soup was an excellent addition to our meal as well. Although we only did takeout, the restaurant is a charming spot that’s perfect for dining in. We're really pleased we chose this location and will definitely be returning more often. We highly recommend it!

I went to the nearest restaurant to Kohl's for a quick lunch since I was running late. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the taste of my meal. The shrimp was at a different temperature than the rice and vegetables. I didn’t complain at the time because I was already tired and hungry, but even when I reheated the leftovers, they still didn’t taste good. I won’t be returning.

I ordered the chicken Wings, the had no flavor. The general tso's and sesame chicken was tough and not good. The fried rice tasted burnt. Best thing was the crab puff. I have eaten here several times, this was the last.

I've visited this restaurant 3 or 4 times, and while the food has generally been decent, my experience today was disappointing. The vegetables were undercooked and too crisp, as if they had only been cooked for a mere few seconds. They were very tough to chew and not at all what I’d expect from Chinese cuisine. Additionally, the sauce had a strange gelatinous texture in some spots. I thought it might just be cold, so I heated it up, but that gelatin-like substance didn't turn into liquid. I also didn't enjoy the taste of the egg roll this time; I ended up eating half and discarding the rest. Overall, it wasn't as good as my previous visits. I give 1 star for the friendly person at the register and 1 star for the price.
