Sushi Aoi - Richmond Hill

We arrived for a late lunch and decided to order the large party boat. It was amazing! It was plenty of food for the four of us, and we even had leftovers. The fish was incredibly fresh and we all loved it. The shrimp tempura appetizers were also deliciously light and crispy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and polite. The restaurant had taken measures to ensure social distancing, which made us feel comfortable. Everyone, including the sushi chef, wore masks. Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon. Thank you for a great experience!

I have ordered delivery from this restaurant multiple times. The food is decent, nothing special. However, my most recent order included 2 orders of salmon sashimi priced at $7 for only 3 pieces! Most places typically charge between $5 and $6 for an order, and they usually serve larger portions. I was expecting the 3 pieces to be much bigger for the price of $7, so I was disappointed with the value. I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

I ordered a large Sushi/Maki platter (81 pieces) for a meeting at my place. Delivery was free for orders over $20 (with SkipTheDishes app). The dish was perfect and the food and fish were incredibly fresh and high quality. However, it is a bit pricier compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Overall, it was very delicious.

We met friends for lunch at the restaurant on a weekday. Apart from one or two other tables, the restaurant was basically empty. The server brought tea and took our orders very quickly. But as soon as we had brought our lunch boxes to us, it was... hard to find the server from where our table lay ( snapped on the back). The server did not return to check if we needed anything else (e.g. extra tea, Wasabi... Overall, the food was good, but not exceptional for a sushi house under new management. Should you mention that the free Japanese pancakes were delicious. A-la-carte sushi items are expensive. A little attentive service would be important.

We got medium sized mixed platter to take out and it was fabulous! It was freshly made by very friendly staff.
