Írjon visszajelzéstI had an amazing dining experience at Caddie. This minimal yet elegant restaurant is a great addition to the Richmond dining scene. Each dish is prepared with the freshest locally sourced ingredients, and there are several delicious vegetable options available. I was particularly impressed by the lupini beans, which have a unique flavor that is a mix between corn and garbanzo beans. They are apparently a popular bar snack in some parts of Latin America. I also enjoyed the carrots with bread salt and the beetroot with salted plum on a bed of yogurt. Even though I'm not usually a fan of beetroot, this dish was exceptional. To finish, I indulged in a rich dark chocolate mousse with pear. Although the menu at Caddie may appear simple, the exceptional quality and preparation of each ingredient truly sets it apart from other restaurants. While they may not offer a wide variety of dishes, everything they serve is done to perfection.
This charming, small restaurant has amazing staff. The menu is limited but consistently excellent and changes often. They are dedicated to using local ingredients and beverages with interesting backstories. It's a place you'll want to visit often for a unique experience each time. Perfect for a leisurely lunch.
This restaurant on Swan St in Richmond serves the best food. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The omelette and pumpkin mousse are amazing! I can't wait to visit again!
Richmond favourite Meatmother closed earlier this year, and it didn’t take long for a replacement, Caddie, to pop up in its place. Caddie is owner/chef Dylan Evans’ first restaurant and he brings a wealth of experience to the venue, having worked in the kitchen at Noma (Copenhagen), Manresa (Los Gatos), Alinea (Chicago), and Fargo Co (Melbourne).
Had an enjoyable dinner at Caddie on Friday night. Design is very sleek and the staff were absolutely lovely. The menu was nice but was fairly limited. Between 4 we shared the kingfish sashimi, the pork and the steak special as mains and the beetroot, the black cabbage and the chicken fat potatoes as sides. The food was pleasant and all cooked well but no dish was overly memorable flavour wise. Still a good option for a slightly finer dining option on Swan street though.
