Muker Village Stores Teashop

We were delighted to find the Tea Rooms open on a Monday. We had lunch here and it was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were charming. Wholly recommend a visit here. The scones were to die for. Well done.

This English tea shop is absolutely perfect in every way! The tea is perfectly prepared, the cakes are delicious, and the decor is lovely. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind after a long hike in Swaledale.

If you imagine a classic English tea room, this place would fit the bill perfectly. The cozy atmosphere, tempting cakes displayed on the sideboard, scones with jam and heaps of clotted cream, delightful service, and plenty of hot tea all make for a wonderful experience. It's a shame the tea wasn't served with leaves, but overall, we would definitely return again and again if we lived closer.

The restaurant offers great service and a wide selection of sandwiches and lunch options. The sandwiches are huge and served on delicious granary bread. The cakes also look very tempting. The prices are reasonable and we would definitely recommend stopping by.
