The Foxglove - Richmondshire

We've been visiting the Foxglove ever since we moved to the area at the beginning of the year. The staff are all so keen to help and happy to see you; it really makes a welcoming atmosphere. The food is also always fantastic. The portions are generous and always come out piping hot and beautifully presented too. Our compliments should really go out to the chefs working on the day of our latest visit Ciaran, Jack and Lee. We accidently ordered our dessert quite close to the kitchen shutting for the night and it still came out looking perfect clearly they take a lot of pride in their work! We have been to Hungry Horse at Catterick Garrison a few times over the past few years and the food was nice and the service was great, however over the past year we have been very disappointed. They never seem to have a full menu and the last time we visited the food was burnt and inedible and requested our money back. We booked a family get together 21 of us) and yet again they didn't have a full menu 3rd choice later) the service was shocking, we never eat together, 2 of us got our food straight away then got cold wilst waiting for everyone else's 20/25 mins later) My husband ordered the pasta salad, which never came with the chicken as requested, looked like it had been thrown on the plate and didn't taste nice at all. Really nice place to come and eat. Lovely staff who are friendly in particular Amber who always looks after us. Deffo recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
