Absolutely wonderful little gem! We were looking for a place to enjoy a glass of wine, and boy did we find it!! Such fantastic variety! We will definitely be back!

Awesome food (fresh oysters, wagyu steak, burgers Etc) amazing selection of Swartland Independent wines, cocktails, local gins spirits. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff with great service with a smile!! Hosted a private event here and everything was spot on thanks team Alchemist!

Had lunch there and it was just stunning!! Good food, great atmosphere and the owner even welcomed my dog and spent time at our table with us. Had an amazing time and will definitely go back! Nothing was too much effort.

This was honestly the worst meal I have had ever. We arrived, were ignored for 20 minutes. Eventually I got up and went to place our order with the staff who unfortunately were completely incompetent and utterly untrained. They didn 't even clean any of the 5 tables littered with dirty dishes around us for the duration of our meal. We ordered the Goats cheese and hummus on ciabatta which is hilarious because what came was 3 thinly sliced bits of toast- basically like Melba toast, the goats cheese as a small rolled ball of chevin as big as a marble and clearly rolled by hand which was very off putting, but the top everything the hummus was literally blended chickpeas... In their brine... That 's it! Not an ounce of lemon juice, garlic or salt was added. This was R60!!! I can 't believe how?!! I feel utterly cheated when I think of the groceries it took to actually make this any sized portion. I have never had such an insipid meal in my life- which took literally 45 minutes to make. The staff has left dished on the floor in the kitchen which I had to visit twice to place my order because it hadn 't been processed. I left a R24 tip ONLY because I was livid and couldn 't wait a second longer in this establishment for change- but it I had the patience I would have left nothing. The owner of this place has clearly abandoned it to go to shambles and there was not a manager in sight to talk to. So so so angry and hungry. R200 land 1 and half hours later. DO NOT go here.
