We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij bistro het Poortje van Verlaan! De bediening was heel goed, de medewerkers zijn vriendelijk. En het eten was ook erg lekker. Ik heb de proeverij gekozen, echt een aanrader! Maar ook de gerechten van mijn tafelgenoten zagen er allemaal goed uit. Je zit er ook gezellig. Absoluut een tip voor wie wat wil eten in Rijswijk!

This bistro is somewhat hidden. They rely on word of mouth advertising. And I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone. All dishes are delicious in taste. And the portions are not small. My wife opted for the wonderful tasting. A nice balance with beautiful meat and fresh fish; attractively served. I went for the fantastic roast beef carpaccio with really old cheese, the best onion soup in years, the perfectly cooked pork tenderloin with bacon and smoked garlic sauce, served with great fries and a fresh salad that, in my opinion, calls for a transparent dressing. The parfait of stroopwafel ice cream with a sauce of Hague hops was delicious, but begs for a sour as a counterpart. Really really good coffee with tasty biscuits for dessert. The tables are a bit small (bistro size), the chairs a bit uncomfortable. The price is very reasonable, especially in relation to the superior quality of wine and food. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options. The onion soup is a must! But there was also a main course with pearl couscous. Looked fine. Parking: There is parking space, but those who are not familiar here will have to look for it. Pay from 6 p.m. to midnight. Wheelchair accessibility: It is difficult with a wheelchair. Sidewalk and little space inside. But with a little help you can do it.

Once again a very nice meal in the well-known Bistro in the oldest part of the municipality of Rijswijk. Everything was perfect again, the atmosphere and of course the food. We keep coming there every time. Really recommended.
