Heron Glen Golf Course - RINGOES

The menu was somewhat restricted due to COVID-19, but we were given the option to sit either indoors or outdoors with proper social distancing. We opted for the outdoor seating and enjoyed a lovely lunch with drinks and a beautiful view! The servers were professional and friendly, and the food was delicious and served promptly. I ordered a medium-rare filet mignon, but it arrived well-done. I waited for 10 minutes without the waitress coming over. When she finally approached us after I flagged her down, she immediately recognized that the steak was incorrect. That wasn’t the worst part, though. My husband and I ordered a glass of wine with our meal, and she offered to comp it for us. Thanks for that! However, when the bill came, the steak charge was still there, even after I asked her to remove it and not to bother preparing another since it was too late. When I inquired about the steak charge, she had the audacity to say, “Well, I comped you two glasses of wine.” Unbelievable! I will never return.

I had a wonderful dinner here. The entrees are genuinely high-end, and the sandwiches were outstanding as well. The live music, featuring an acoustic guitarist, added to the pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a new facility at the golf course, and dining outdoors offers lovely views. Inside, a beautiful stone fireplace enhances the dining area. I hope this place becomes popular soon, as it truly is a hidden gem at the moment.

Should only order burgers and onion rings, everything we had was bad. Fish (halibut was rubber) and the (cheese steak) was horrible. Like microwaveable. Not good. Service was slow. Expect more from a place that puts themselves on open table.

We really enjoyed the brunch! The food was delicious, the clubhouse is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
