Taqueria Dos Hermanos - Rio Linda

I can't tell you how DIFFICULT it was to order food here. They use a different name now. Taqueria Playa Linda. I needed something specific because of my food restrictions. I asked to get an order of grilled chicken on top of lettuce. This entirely threw her for a loop. She was not friendly about this. I asked if they had both lettuce and grilled chicken. She said she didn't know how to ring up my request. So she charged me for a side order of meat (difficult huh? I also ordered a horchata. The horchata was watered down with little sugar or cinnamon. When the food arrived the meat was buried UNDER a plate of lettuce. My main goal was to eat the meat with lettuce not eat lettuce with a couple pieces of meat here and there. I separated the meat and lettuce and went to the salsa bar and put on about 2 tablespoons of guacamole an 1 teaspoon of salsa on my meat. She then comes up to let me know they usually charge for that! I walked out and left. The chicken was bland anyway.

We decided to give this place one more try as everyone was saying how much better it was. I'm still not sure why everyone is saying how good this place is. It isn't! Who's giving these good reviews? The food lacks the flavor. The beans and the rice had zero flavor, were bland and had zero salt. The carnitas, all 3 small chunks, in my taco looked grey, wasn't going to chance it so I didn't eat it. After pulling off half a chopped onion out of my taco I was left with very little cold meat. I want to support local business but I can't if what they are providing is not good.

I absolutely love these new owners. We are huge fans of taco Tuesday's and have been calling an order in regularly of pastor tacos, bean and cheese burritos, a super quesadilla and a kids quesadilla. The beans are just delicious. Everything else is great, but I'm a huge fans of the beans. We will continue to be regular patrons.

Been here multiple times now and every time it's great! The woman who answers the phone and works the front counter is ALWAYS so nice and professional. Food tastes great! I hope people keep going and keep this place open!

Dope place! Hit it up for taco Tuesday!!! $1.25 a taco you cant beat that in the area! And they hella good too... They there salsa bar is on point this place is new but it's doin a very good job wit their business. They have a new number which is (916)2384951 so if the number on yelp isn't working now u know why
