El Agave - Rio Rancho

We have been dining in or getting takeout from El Agave for the past few months. Upon arrival, they always offer fresh, hot chips with delicious salsa. The food is consistently great and served with a friendly smile, making us feel like part of the family. Their fresh-made tacos are the absolute best! I adore this place and will continue to support them during these uncertain times. I can't wait to dine in again, but in the meantime, we will continue to order takeout.

I recently discovered the El Agave Mexican restaurant through a quick review on the Nextdoor app/website, and decided to give it a try. The restaurant looked nice and clean, and we were promptly greeted upon arrival. Once my mother and I made our menu selections and placed our orders, we chatted with some of the staff who were excited to learn it was our first visit. While waiting for our meal, we enjoyed some chips and salsa. We learned that it was their first week of being open and they were now accepting cash payments. When our food arrived, it looked and smelled delicious! We both ordered the Chimichanga plate, with my mother also getting a chili relleno on the side. She was pleasantly surprised to find it filled with not only cheese, but also ground beef. I particularly enjoyed the cheese sauce that came with it. For dessert, we tried their tres leches cake and it was heavenly! We definitely plan on returning in the future. Thanks to the staff for making us feel so welcome and providing a great experience for our family dinner!

Oh my God I didn't have this food long enough! On 30 miles north of the Mexican border, I was really pampered with the delicious homemade food in my friendhouse. But let me tell you it was like standing back in time! My mother had the Loaded Nachos. I had the Shredded Beef TACOS! 15/10 #tacotusday #momandpop

Beautiful service, entertainment and of course excellent tacos with crushed beef nachos! The shredded beef was perfectly layered with alternating layers of beef, cheese and chips! The tacos had an excellent help from shredded beef and a first where the bowls remained intact and not soggy! Loved the presentation also on the Tacos!

The food at this restaurant was exceptional. We don't have anything like it back on the East Coast. The service was outstanding and the salsa was the best I've ever had. This will definitely be our first stop on our next visit.
