From the beaten path and not just for the locals. The food has all the qualities of this classic little town dinner that you are always looking for.

First time dining at this establishment. For the most part, the food was good and it was very clean. All the employees were wearing masks. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it left a lot to be desired. It falls pretty far behind that from Stacks and Machine Shed. The biggest issues were the eggs were over cooked, completely solid yokes, and not enough hollandaise given the extra thick slice of ham that’s in place of the Canadian bacon. The ham had great flavor, but it was just too much. The hash browns were good. Mostly what you’d expect from small diner hash browns. I did order a side of pancakes and the cinnamon roll French toast for the kids. Those were both delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place and would go back, I would just order something other than the eggs Benedict next time.
We stopped here in our way back to Chicago and one of the best food decisions we've made. This restaurant is family owned and we could tell they take pride in providing great service and meals. Everything was so fresh and homemade. My husband had the beef vegetable soup which was delicious. He also had the meat lovers omelet and said it was the perfect size. I had the ham, bacon and spinach skillet. The potatoes were fantastic, the spinach fresh and the bacon not too salty. Thank you and we'll be back!!
