Lolly's Hut - Riverhead

Lolly’s Hut is classic and American. Women behind the counter are great and the food is exactly what you’re looking for when you go to a diner. You can definitely feel a sense of community as a mix of regulars and tourists (like us! are welcomed warmly. We both had a great meal with the #3 combo (pancakes, 2 eggs, home fries, and sausage though it took much longer than we expected. Still it was all right because we got to sit next to a wonderful older gentleman named Mr. Petty. Had a great conversation with him and were honored to pay for his meal. Cash only business which keeps the costs surprisingly low in this super inflated world. Had a great time for an easy and delicious meal and will definitely stop by again next time we’re out on the island.

Oh my goodness! This place is heaven and family at the same time. The regulars and the newcomers mesh well and laughter and the chatter is absolutely what everyone needs to experience.

I have frequented this luncheonette a number of times, unfortunately each time they have made numerous mistakes with our orders. I will not return.

Not understanding the rave reviews. Great prices indeed. Cash only, no substitutions, long wait. No half and half. Bathroom is outdated, dirty and full of flies Food is mediocre at best. Will never return.
