Back To The Grind - Riverside

Love this place. Whenever I’m in town I stop by and get a drink to say hi. Back in the day I played shows here! Love the environment. I bring my family just to show them how lofty this space is.

As a first-time visitor today around 4:45 pm, my experience was far from enjoyable, primarily due to the rude demeanor of the cashier, who seemed annoyed just by my presence. When I approached the counter, I attempted to navigate the menu. However, instead of offering assistance or guidance, the cashier rolled his eyes in irritation.l wanted to order a stuffed croissant, but when I asked about the filling options, he annoyingly pointed at the menu that is on the wall behind the counter.While the ambiance and menu offerings showed promise, the unfriendly and condescending attitude of the cashier cast a shadow over the entire experience. Hopefully, the management takes note of the importance of customer service and strives to create a more welcoming environment for future guests.

Very chill, no one bugs you, live music, reasonably priced food and drinks. Quite the variety. Very cozy setting

Happy to have vegan food but the cashier acted like they straight up wanted me DEAD. Literally all I did was ask a question about a product and then order. I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely by a customer service professional in my life. I worked five years of retail/barista/counter food service and only ever had one coworker who was as mean to customers as this person was to me ... Real special people working here... Would probably not go here again for that reason, considering that there are other vegan options in the area.
