Asked him about the serving size because it different than what I've gotten in the past and he started getting defensive and I was trying to just explain to him that I've never had a small serving size like the one he gave me before. So he asked which worker I told him the 2 ladies that I've only encountered here and he kept denying it and I explained that I was just trying to tell him that I've never had that type of serving size then he got argumentative and so I just explained to him I don't want the plates anymore especially if I'll be talked to like this when I was just telling him about the serving size smh.I'm glad I turned the plates away cuz this spot has been going downhill for a while now smh. It makes me miss the Mr. Wok in Diamond Bar that I used to go to a lot when I lived on that side. Living in Riverside can't find any good Chinese spots smh
Service and food is great but today I got a bbq pork bowl half rice half noodles witch was great but the bbq pork had so much gristle made it hard to eat felt like I threw half my money away portion wasn't the best but the meat I ate was good and tasty hopefully my next visit is better
I have been going to Wok In Kitchen for years (even before the pandemic of March 2020) whenever me and my brother come to Riverside. I first learned of it when I just happened to look to my left on Arlington and Madison while waiting for a bus at the bus stop near a doctor's office. I was intrigued to see a Chinese restaurant nearby but could not go there because I was waiting for a bus. When I went home, I did a search on the internet to see if there were any reviews. I was so surprise to see (looks like a Mexican family) had posted pictures from their visit at the restaurant. The gentleman was raving how great the Chinese food was and highly recommended it. So, the next time me and my brother were out in the Arlington Street area, I told him about the Wok In Kitchen in the Big Lots shopping center. When we went in there, we were greeted by the owner (a lady). She kindly took our order. The fried rice and lo mein looked great. We each asked for it for our take out tray (we wound up eating inside the restaurant afterwards). I went for their House Special Chicken with potatoes and beans--the best!! My brother went for the Kung Pao Chicken. We had enough food to eat that we saved the rest as leftovers to take home. We have been coming to Wok In Kitchen like every 2-3 months when we visit Riverside. We always order their fried rice and lo mein. We would add Broccoli Beef, Teriyaki Chicken, Shrimp Chow Mein (as an extra). But, my favorite is their House Special Chicken, which I always order. Sometimes I would order extra fried rice and lo mein to take home. Just to let you know, whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant, make sure the lo mein noodles are eaten during the same day. Sometimes lo mein noodles do not taste good a day later (and that is with any Chinese restaurant). So, I always try to make sure I finish all the lo mein noodles within a day. I give the Wok In Kitchen 5 stars as we have always been so pleased with the food and service. This is probably the best Chinese take-out restaurant in Riverside.
Wok in kitchen is located on a stipmall, which makes the access easy and it has plenty of parking. I have been there 3 times, 2 eating normal food and today having the delicious Wonton soup. My other 2 visits were to order some of the delicious foods that they have ready. Their BBQ porks are great!!The place is very neat, the decoration is nice, which make it very clean. Service is attentive and friendly. Cool place to go on the weekends, when you don't wanna cook and when you need a special something like a wonton soup to feel better
We absolutely love coming here! The servings are generous, the food always looks fresh, the workers are always friendly, and the price is fairly decent. We stop here at least 1-2x per month. Unlike other Chinese food spots, the food here never makes us feel bad nor does it ever hurt our stomach. This spot is located in a shopping center. You can always usually find parking without an issue. The workers take your order as soon as you make it to the front and if there's a line, they usually get others to help out so the line always moves fast! There's a few tables where to sit, but we usually always take the food to-go. The restaurant itself isn't super fancy, but it's also not dirty or ugly. It looks clean and well maintained by the staff. We've tried other Chinese food spots in the general area, but we always come back to this one! It's definitely our favorite.
