The Local Greek - Riverton

I was thrilled to discover a new Greek restaurant near my workplace, and I tried it today—I am definitely not disappointed! The lamb is amazing. The side salad is large and incredibly fresh, and the hummus and pita are also fantastic. They included fries in the dish, which I found to be an interesting twist, and it made the meal even better! I will certainly be returning.

For my first visit, I ordered the chicken souvlaki for $13, which included two pieces of meat, tomatoes, onions, tzatziki, pita, and a choice of fries or rice. It was delicious, especially the lemon rice. The wait time was reasonable as well. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the establishment. It was neat and tidy, and the decor and atmosphere were fantastic. It felt incredibly cozy with great color schemes. This is a place where you can relax and feel at home; it didn't have the typical restaurant vibe, but rather felt more like a family gathering spot.

I tried out the new Taylorsville location and was very pleased with everything we ordered. The fried feta as a vegetarian option is absolutely fantastic. The gyro meat was a bit saltier than I'd usually like, but overall, it was a solid spread. Also, don’t underestimate the size of the "side" salad that came with it—it's quite generous!

Hands down best gyro I had for years! The ambience is unbelievable with family photos large tables and staff is very friendly. Feels like you're in your dining room and kitchen

The Local Greek did not disappoint!! We had the opportunity to go visit on the first and day I can't wait to go back. The food was delicious and the portions were great! We got the Gyro, Souvlaki Bowl, fries, and Galaktoboureko (Greek Custard Dessert) which was . So delicious!! Go support this amazing restaurant!
