First of all the service is so good! The coffee is consistently smooth and never burnt. The lunch specials are great approx $10 for a curry full of flavour and they have a range of options. Love the water on arrival and glad this is close to work. Will be back. The decor and ambiance are average but don't let that put you off.
Pad Thai with chicken was really, really good. The perfect amount of nuttiness and loved the crunch of fresh peanuts. The restaurant offers extra chilli if you like it spicy but I opted for nil. The dish had an almost sweetness to it, and featured loads of tofu and egg as well as chicken. Yum!!! <br/ <br/ Green Curry with chicken was also really lovely. Coconutty and sweet with a bit of a kick!
Overall fairly decent Thai food, although we were expecting something more spectacular. The Som Tum papaya salad was pretty standard although it could have been fresher. <br/ <br/ The pineapple fried rice was a little on the watery side, with an unexpected dash of curry powdery taste had overpowered the essence of the dish. <br/ <br/ Luckily the Red Curry Duck came to the rescue. Although the portion seemed on the small side the taste was most delicious with a generous thick coconutty texture. <br/ <br/ We ordered an extra white rice to accompany the curry and found that to be very complimentary. <br/ <br/
Petitca is a real find. We enjoyed lunch sitting outside on the terrace. We both had chicken larb which is a dish I think you can gauge the quality of Thai restaurants by and it was superb. Tasty with just the right texture and heat. The service was very friendly and the prices are more than reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
