Írjon visszajelzéstThe cafe bateel is a real tasty bite that can be found on tahlia street as the most exclusive venue and has a date shop to die. even if they don't like data, the displays are a leak for their eyes. even though the main meals are limited for vegans, their customer service is so excellent that they try to change any desired; so don't be shy, ask them away! I went with some friends for the brunch of the other week and had the mezze platter: carrot and cumin hummus; beet root hummus; oliven; fresh pita brot; quinoa tabbouleh; baba ganoush .. and instead of the 2 cheese options I asked about mushrooms and asparagus. everything was cooked and seasoned for perfection. they first brought out creamy mushrooms and were so apologetic that they gave me a vegan skyberry and chocolate torte on the house. I'm not a big fan of cake, but everyone mouth was a delicious attack on the senses! I was so impressed that I took my daughter the week after lunch. they had 4 vegan options; 3 salat options and, for the main, mushroom carbonara with crispy porcini mushrooms, drowned, spinach and a creamy cashew sauce the Italians could not have made it better! they offered a bowl with a lot of fresh broth to begin that went well with the very elegant fluff balsamicum and olive oil. the balsamico had added date syrup that was a new and sensational twist on the original. there were 2 vegan desserts available and my daughter went for the chocolate praline cake that, she assured me, was the best she tasted! it is a little expensive, but they get what they pay and what they get is gourmet standard food and gold standard service.
There are some vegan options, but not many. all the breakfasts have eggs or cheese or victories in it. a little overpriced. my partner has an omlet for 57sar and it is very little part for a man as a full-fledged meal. only good that they give extra bread.
I expect very good things for the future of Cafe Bateel. As it is, they are one of a very small number of restaurants in Riad with a decent selection for vegans. Veganism is very new in Riad, so to find a restaurant that is vegan AND gluten-free is a dream come true for me. The staff at Cafe Bateel is wonderful and will bend back to meet your needs. The only thing is they are new to veganism and you need to check them understand everything when you order. They make a selection of hearty soups and salads that are sufficient for the main thing. Just ask that the cheese is left out when it is listed on the plate. The main dish will be pasta or risotto. You can ask them to swallow the Mozzarella or Parmigiana for black olives or maybe pine nuts. Between these things and the fresh mocktails there is enough that you are excited about the menu that, according to my experience at the Tokyo Restaurant last week, is a goddess (now Tokyo had nothing, even the salad is soaked in fish sauce marinade I had an amazing fresh Quinoa Tabbouleh, perfectly cooled and with pomegranate! Besides, I had a spicy Fusilli Pasta with black lenses and cherry tomatoes, which was very beautiful. For Dessert I had the only option available: dates (they were very nice and a nice coffee with soy milk. Next time I try a mocktail or a sparkling date drink (its speciality and a risotto, plus I will try another salad. I told them they need to add a vegan dessert. They said they had only their vegan options for a few months, so they still learn. If they add a vegan dessert, a main that is not pasta or salad, and make sure that you are already excellent staff fully trained over veganism, I would give them 4 stars that are possible for a non-vegan restaurant. As it is, I still recommend you go there. Just warm up when you want to sit outside. The ambience is wonderful, but the wind is icy, despite the fire heaters! If you are sitting inside, insist on a table on the back, AWAY from the door. You can thank me later
