Írjon visszajelzéstThe food was excellent! Unfortunately, the service fell short. When my husband and I visited, there were only five tables occupied. The waiter seated us at a corner table that was quite dark, as it lacked proper lighting. We requested to move to one of the available tables with four chairs, but he informed us that those were reserved for four guests. I would have understood if the restaurant had been busy and there were no other options, but that wasn't the case. In fact, four out of the five tables had guests seated at the four-chair tables! Instead, we were stuck in a dimly lit area with only two chairs. Throughout our visit, the waiter seemed unconcerned about checking on us; I even had to get up to attend to myself. I want to enjoy a restaurant with great food, but it's disappointing when the service doesn't match. The quality of the food was indeed outstanding; after trying three other Thai restaurants in the area, this one surpassed the rest in flavor. It's just a shame that the service overshadowed the dining experience.
Each time I visit this restaurant, I find that the service is consistently quick, whether I'm dining in or just stopping by for a takeaway. I typically opt for the pineapple rice to-go, but I decided to stay and enjoy it over the weekend. The staff are friendly and maintain a consistent level of service throughout their shifts. The service is efficient without feeling rushed, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. I recommend starting with the tigers cry appetizer and then trying the crab rice for your main course. If it's your first visit, finding the parking lot can be a bit tricky, but just look for the Thai monkey with stars—you won't miss it.
The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. We always receive our food quickly. I really appreciate that Thai Monkey offers vegan options. I usually order the salad rolls without shrimp, and you can add tofu if you'd like. The vegetables come with red curry made without fish sauce and milder spices. I used to choose the medium spice level, which turned out to be quite spicy, so if you're not a fan of heat, I recommend opting for the mild instead.
The first time, it was ok, presentation was good, but food was not impressive, not the worst, but certainly not the best. Vegetables in my drunk noodle was hard to cut even with a fork. Peanut sauce for the spring rolls I didn't like at all. The woman said her salad was fine, but then it's very hard to screw a salad again. Not the worst yet, but I don't think we'll be back.
This place is a hidden gem. Their food is amazingly flavorful. They tend to be a bit on the spicy side some times but I love it. We got the drunken noodles with the seafood mix and it had penalty of seafood and also got the red curry with chicken and white rice. We were licking our plates lol. For desert we go the sticky rice with mango it was delicious, although we had better before. Definitely would recommend trying this place. Sorry no food pictures will add next time we order.
