George's - Rochester

We've been driving for breakfast, lunch and dinner for several months. It is very clean and well managed with friendly waiting staff. The food is well prepared and comes hot. Problems, if present, are addressed immediately. My wife and I drive 12 15 to eat here. We enjoy it and have become friendly with the staff.

The atmosphere was comfortable, with several regular customers already present, indicating that the food must be quite good. My mom and I both ordered coffee—hers regular and mine decaf. When she mentioned that her coffee wasn't hot enough, our server promptly offered a fresh pot, which she quickly brought over. We received excellent service during our entire visit, and I noticed that the other server was also doing a great job with their tables. For dinner, I ordered the Gyros from the Pitas menu, which came with fries and a dill pickle. I was pleased with my meal; the pickle was crispy, and the fries were hot, crispy, and delicious! However, the Tzatziki sauce left something to be desired. It tasted more like sour cream with chopped pickles than authentic Tzatziki, but it helped balance the slightly salty flavor of the gyro meat. My mother chose the fried chicken with potatoes and gravy on the side and ranch dressing for her salad. The server explained that the meal typically comes with additional sides, which was good because my mom preferred her dishes separated as requested. Her salad included fresh ingredients like lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, and croutons, all looking vibrant and healthy. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy and juicy, though she wished the breading had a bit more flavor. We both agreed that some extra seasoning would have improved it, but I thought that if the dish were plated traditionally, the gravy could have compensated for the chicken's mildness. My mother polished off her meal, and we both enjoyed our dining experience. There were some intriguing dessert options listed on the menu, so we’ll definitely be back for another great meal, and we'll be sure to leave room for dessert next time!

The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the wait staff is fantastic. This place is truly a hidden gem.

The service here is friendly and welcoming. We were quickly seated on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, and it was quite tasty.

Good place for Penfield folks we go once a month deciding from outside (looks small and dark, but is really spacious and bright) personally I like the salads and gyros, good breakfast and dinner. Also nice staff
