Írjon visszajelzéstTonight, my mother, sister, and I visited this restaurant. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, and the decor was quite nice with clean tables. We were greeted warmly and placed our order shortly after. We ordered three butter chickens, three saffron rice, one serving of garlic naan, one serving of cheese naan, one serving of pappadums, one cucumber raita, English tea, sparkling apple juice, and a Carlton Dry beer. Our total bill came to $116. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The portion sizes were generous, exceeding my expectations. I particularly enjoyed the saffron rice and cucumber raita. The pappadums, garlic naan, and cheese naan were also very tasty. The staff were friendly, and overall, we had a great experience. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Chutney Mary's in Rockingham may just be even better than the amazing main restaurant in Subiaco. I have visited the Subi location many times, so when my friends suggested Indian food after a boating trip in Rockingham, I eagerly agreed. The food at Chutney Mary's tastes just as delicious as the dishes from the Subiaco location, and the staff even offered to make off-menu items like Shahi Paneer for us. While the Rockingham restaurant is popular and can be a bit chaotic and crowded like the Subiaco location, I appreciated the more organized layout and better air conditioning. Overall, if you see the sign for Chutney Mary's, you can't go wrong with dining there.
Really excellent Indian food. They really try to be gluten free and have a lot of options, but when it comes to more than one allergy you get stuck. Still worth a visit!
Although a little on the expensive side, you definitely get what you pay for here, the food is amazing! Beautiful, fresh authentic Indian dishes with excellent service
Greetings fellow food worshippers! When I called Chutney Mary 's the day before Fathers Day, I was pleasantly surprised to get a booking as I knew I had left it to the last minute. Upon arrival, I noticed the easy access to parking nearby, and wheelchair accessibility. We entered a busy but not noisy restaurant with a modern and bright decor. I didn 't see a sign which indicated that we should wait to be seated, so the three of us went to the bar area, noticed that the staff sighted us instantly, and waited no more than 60 seconds to be greeted. We were then shown to a table to wait for an available table which only took 2 minutes. As hygiene is important to me, I noticed that the restaurant was clean, there were no uncleared tables, and the staff looked in control and professional. We were shown to our table and given a complimentary caraf of water, glasses were nice and clean and so was cutlery. I liked the menu; not too many dishes but a good amount, easy to read. I rarely order entrees or desserts so we had 3 mains of; Chicken Korma, Goat Curry Speciality and Beef Vindaloo accompanied by plain nan bread, cucumber raita, and plain rice. The total cost was $92 which was reasonable for the portion sizes and reasonable in comparison to similar quality I have had before in other establishments; that level of quality being average , with the exception of one restaurant in Innaloo. Firstly, the order was taken efficiently and promptly but I was turned off by the arrival of the food within 7 minutes of ordering it. I have waited longer in a line at Mcdonalds ok, I was desperate). I would rather wait 20 minutes for a curry than 7 because psychologically I get the impression that someone has scooped a ladle of mass made curry into a bowl and microwaved it. I want to imagine that it has taken hours. People are not only paying for food, but for the experience.I will be annoyed if I wait half an hour for a steak and chips but I am happy to wait that long for a curry. My husband and daughter are polar opposites to me and they also found it off putting without any prompting from me. So I say to myself, dont jump to conclusions; let the flavours tell me whether it tastes like fast food or fine food. The Chicken Korma was tasteless. A little fresh coriander would have helped but the sauce lacked flavour and was bland. The goat curry was delicious but bordering on a little too salty. And I like my salt. The beef vindaloo was far too salty and the spices in both the goat and beef curries were so overpowering that the flavour of the meat was lost. I love my chillies and the amount of chilli was good, but the spices would have been far more tantalising had 30% less had been used. The BLEND of spices was good but the amount was not. The rice was perfect and the cucumber raita was lovely. I make my own curries for my family and if I cant get better than mine when I pay to eat out then I won 't return, however, I wouldn 't put others off giving it a try because I am very critical compared to the average person who does not grow curry trees and chillies as I do. I grow 3 of the hottest chillies in the world and my curries have been known to be intense according to friends, so I think I can confidently say that if the chef toned down the spices not the chilli) and DIDNT serve the customers for at least 15 minutes after they have ordered , then I would definately return.
