Very Impressed. I was a bit nervous going to this location as some of the reviews were a bit critical, but everyone I speak to in Rockingham says this is the place for Fish and Chips. We decided to give it a go, and they were right. Beautiful Snapper and fresh Barramundi cut right out of the display. The food was absolutly amazing, Customer service was surpurb, and probably the cleanest Chippy I have been to in many years. They 're prices are marginally higher for the Rockingham 'norm ', but comparing to Freo and north they were very reasonable. And for the quality we got, I think they are short changing themselves. And to add, I was able to get a 1/2 Kg of cooked king prawns to eat on the beach for a good price that were obviously fresh. Great jobs guys, keep it up. Cant wait to come back!!!
Error in voting. Whilst viewing this page, I accidentally clicked thumbs down. I have rectified This mistake, I am not very familiar with how this website works. But I would never down vote Dhueys on purpose. It is the best fish and chips store on the foreshore. We buy all our fish and chips from there and recommend it to our own customers. Sorry for the mix up there was no sabotage or slander intended.
Great range of Fresh Fish!. We have been going to Dhueys since they first opened and the new owners (maybe 12 months ago? have certainly lifted it. <br/ <br/ Love the selection of fresh fish on offer. Prices are a little dearer than the supermarkets but we think the quality reflects this. EG the skin on salmon has been scaled and seems to have been pinboned? <br/ <br/ If you can't make up your mind on what to get to take home for tea suggest you try a slab of Goldband, absolutely beautiful fish. <br/ <br/ Only downside can be that after the weekends the selection can be a bit limited until the new shipment of fish arrive.<br/ <br/ While we haven't had much in the way of takeaway fish and chips the owner was telling us that once the fish had been in the display any that weren't sold as wet fish were then cooked up for the takeaways. <br/ <br/ Cheers, Beachbums
I was here for a few months and wanted to try this place. Shop was clean and the fresh seafood looked fresh. I asked about the snapper and chips. When Dhuey promoted the locals, I asked where the Snapper was from? I was sure it was caught on site and offered to see it. The cooking time was fast and the finished product was the damp and yet solid crumb fish I've ever eaten. Price was a small exy, $14.50; but the old manta will get you what you pay for rings in this case if you want cheap, you will not get quality. I would recommend for families and all in between to take after a pleasant food to the beach Fresh seafood looked good, but I can't comment on how I didn't try.
