La Bohemia Bakery - Rockville

Absolutely delicious! I had a bit of trouble finding the location at first, but eventually discovered it on the right after taking a third turn onto Wilkins Court, right across from the car clinic. I really love this little shop—her bread is incredibly fresh, straight out of the oven!

La Bohemia Bakery and Cafe is a fantastic spot for chocolate croissants and, hopefully, a great cup of coffee to accompany them. It certainly lived up to our expectations. We sampled the croissants, canelés, and cheese pastries, and each was out of this world. The canelé was pure poetry, with its buttery texture, caramelized sweetness, and a chewy, creamy center. The chocolate croissants were incredibly buttery, packed with rich chocolate, and featured a delightful pastry. The cheese pastry was equally scrumptious, a wonderful buttery treat. After trying six other local bakeries, none could match this level of perfection. I can't wait to explore their other pastries, breads, and sandwiches. Don’t let the bakery's location or the appearance of the storefront deter you; this place is a hidden gem, and it was a joy to dine there.

This is my favorite bakery. I always enjoy the quiche, cane, almond croissants, Portuguese cakes, and the cheese bags when they’re available. The pastries have a distinct flavor and texture that I’ve never experienced anywhere else. Without a doubt, these are some of the best croissants I’ve ever tasted, and I absolutely love croissants!

My favorite place. My number one for the French bakery. It's actually my only choice! Nothing's going to do it. Service is always great! Christian is the best! If you want to go some authentic French pastries, this is the place! Seven years ago! And they also speak French! By the way, the big Canelés are only weekends!

Some really scrumptious breakfast yummies, and for a great price! My favorite was the Portuguese egg tart, followed by the spinach quiche and the blueberry and raspberry tart. The chocolate croissant was just ok (it felt like more of the effort was put into the chocolate than the crispy/chewiness of the dough). Also, I can't help but wish you had some way to know what each pastry is without verbally asking (as there are no signs/labels for any of them), especially when they all sort of sit en masse, but that is just a small complaint for an otherwise tasty morning!
