Bombay Bliss Northridge - Rockville

We ordered three curries and two naan breads for takeaway, and we were quite disappointed. All three curries were watery and lacked real flavor. The butter chicken contained only a few pieces of chicken in what felt like a liter of soup, and the lamb madras was similarly thin, tasting mild when we had asked for it to be hot. We also waited for ten minutes for our order, only to see the lady scoop curry from a container in the front heater. It seemed like the curry had been prepared long ago and wasn’t made to our specifications. I've had my share of Indian food, both good and bad, but this was definitely one of the worst experiences I've encountered. I would recommend staying away from this place.

It would be advisable to train your staff to be more courteous and to follow a proper process, rather than placing the blame on customers. I specifically returned to your restaurant looking forward to eating here regularly, but after this experience, I’ve decided this will be my last visit. I can overlook average food but not unfriendly service.

I was really disappointed with my experience. I ordered the Butter Paneer at medium heat, but it turned out to be bland, with a watery sauce that was only mildly seasoned and served cold, along with the rice. To make matters worse, the Garlic Naan was overcooked and burnt. I won’t be returning. On a positive note, the Mango Lassi was decent.

The takeaway food was enjoyable; the butter chicken was excellent, but I found the lamb rogan josh to be a bit bland. My brother, however, really liked it, so maybe it's just a matter of personal taste. The poppadoms were slightly overcooked but still tasty. I also felt that the dishes could have used a bit more meat.

The service and food were both outstanding!
