Írjon visszajelzéstThe hostess and the server were really nice but service was quite slow that said, I wasn’t in a rush. I was hungry and this place was the only restaurant open during off season in Rocky Harbour. Had the Cod au Gratin and the Fish Chowder and the Shrimp To go. Was pleasantly surprised by the meal and the Fish Chowder was tasty with big chunks of fish. The view was great as a got to sit at the front and had a lovely view of the sunset.
I feel scammed. The food is cheaply made and over priced and they didn't give my grandmother 2 fish like she ordered, and when she asked the wheater, they just shrug it off like it was nothing and still change for 2! The gluten free menu doesn't matter because they cook everything with the gluten full stuff anyway, which contaminates the food. Don't come here unless you like to get scammed.
WAY over salts the food. We ate there twice and both times MUCH too salty. The chicken, rice, and veggie meals was nearly inedible.
Overrated, over priced and disappointing. I had the shrimp platter just okay and nothing tasted fresh. My husband had the Fisherman's Delight platter it was supposed to be pan fried cod, scallops and shrimp. There were no scallops and the rest of the items were just okay. The carrots were barely cooked and the baked potatoes were undercooked as well.
We were exhausted from hiking Gros Morne Mountain, but when we got there our waitress Susan made us smile. I had the moose platter which came with mashed potatoes, cooked carrots and turnips (one of my favorites)! My son had the salmon and my husband took a recommendation and had the fish patty. All were great the moose was very lean tasting and was baked in the oven similar to brisket. For dessert my son had a slice of cheesecake with a bakeapple topping! When in Newfoundland this is a great option to try local food!
