Tonight for lunch, I and a friend ordered our food for dinner. I ordered Loco rice with steak and she ordered steak and shrimp nachos. When we got our food, we both noticed a strange cheek with the cheese dipping. I thought maybe they used another season on the steak, but if I tasted a piece without the cheese, it tasted normal. It was almost like the cheese had been pinched in the pot while he did. We didn't want to say anything at first, but after one or two more bites, the aftertaste was absolutely terrible. Even trying to put salsa on it and it was still a very rough taste. We told the waitress and she was immediately insulted. My friend suggested that she herself tried the cheese, but of course she came back and said it tasted good and that all the others had the same cheese instead and nobody else complained. We didn't want to be rude at all, but we wanted to send the food back, and we would pay for the drinks and children my daughter had eaten. I could understand that they think we're lying when we took several bites out of the food, but we took MAYBE 2-3 bites overall. We didn't just want to get a free meal or whatever. We paid, and every single worker we came into contact with has told us? you were the only ones to say it tastes strange? Lol even the actual manager who checked us. I paid first and he didn't say a word to me and then threw my change back on me. He told my friend again? we were the only ones who felt that way? his attitude was completely terrible. I have always had a great experience with them, but they were down to the right. Take it from me, go to EL ZARAPE. They will NOT be disappointed. Your staff, manager/owner and food is 1000000x better than here. And her cheese is always on the point. I really felt like we were gassed from the time we went out of the door until I read another review that talked about the mysterious taste in the cheese.

Has Taco salad $8.99 avacado$2.99 side of beans $2.50 water. The waitress brought the ticket $18.29 and lied to her boss before me what I ordered. Mgr gave me a very hard time to force me to pay for my food, and I was determined to refuse their demand. Guys, I don't suggest going here unless you don't have the risk of overloading. Don't go alone!!!!

Slow service, though was empty. The food was cold and hard. Portions are definitely smaller and seem like price increases.

Food was very good. Happy hour was half off margaritas or beer. I had the Compadre Special. It was very filling and tasty. My only complaint was the salsa. It wasn't bad, but very simple and tasted like canned tomatoes. It could have used some spices and cilantro. We requested spicy salsa and it was flavor packed, but HOT. Will visit again. Update: just recently had the black bean soup and while simple, it was tasty. Nice if you don't want a heavy meal. Also, the salsa was fantastic this time. Less tomato flavor than last time.

The food was disgusting and they messed up my order by having green spots in all of my chicken tenders and still charged me full price, not to mention I order a kids tender but apparently you have to be 12 and under to order it and they didn?t tell me this till I got the ticket and charged me with the adult tender price when I got the kids tender portion and I only ate fries, and they also didn?t apologize for my food being that way, very un professional ??
