It was the first time my group in rom and we found this local restaurant near our bnb. no words can describe the hospitality we were given. from the beginning we felt comfortable and at home. we loved his dishes, from the ricotta...cheese with a red wine jam to our entrees and to the amazing dessert babá amalfitani al rhum unfortunately the mozzarella was sold out, but if I ever went to rome again, I will surely return to i bufalina bistrot!

We enjoyed a platter of cheeses, exquisite buffalo mozzarella, a buffalo burger, and red wine. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and it...is a pleasure to talk with the chef about the fresh, beautiful ingredients. We will go back as often as we can highly recommend. And it is very interesting to talk with owner Marco and his colleagues about the region where his delicious organic products are cultivated. The restaurant is in the Trastevere district of Rome.

Ed stopped for lunch, sat outside and had great service and eating! the owner was very helpful in interpreting the menu.

Take Tram 8 to Trastevere and at the street Via di Montevere hop off and walk down the hill, at the bottom (near the roundabout with trees) hang a left and you'll see this restaurant. I'll admit it, we went because we stay at Suites...Trastevere and the owner of that has an interest in this but this is a good thing! We like to see how Roman residents live and this lovely neighborhood is the real thing. Besides, sitting at a table on a sidewalk cafe, people watching, while plates of delicious slow-grown' food is brought out is just fine. The point of this restaurant is organic, slow-food with a focus on Buffalo's (not the American prairie ones but the ones you see in pictures of Asia)! Between the cheese selections, the cured meats and all the other yummy items, it was another great day hanging with the Romans.
